The 4-star Shangri-La Country Hotel & Spa on the outskirts of Bela Bela and Modimolle will soon be boasting its very own Putt Putt course. This 9-hole mini golf course is a fantastic new addition that adds to the charm of Shangri-La becoming the Waterberg’s number one destination for family getaways.
The course is set amidst lush bushveld trees and bushes and guests can savour the true African surrounding while enjoying a round of mini golf. The last hole is also the most difficult, with a unique challenge. Players who manage to hit a hole in one on this last hole will also enjoy a complimentary gift once the course is operational.
The Putt Putt course is but one of the new developments at Shangri-La that aims at increasing the on site activities for families and couples that visit the country hotel. Says Director Stef Venter, “we’ve recently introduced an outside garden chess board, a kids play room and regular fun events like the kiddies MasterChef classes so that our guests can have a wide variety of activities right on their doorstep.”
The Putt Putt course is expected to have its official opening in April 2015. Watch this space for more information.
