This past Saturday, South of Africa celebrated the annual Mandela Day, on Saturday 17 July 2015. Following on from the previous years’ event, South of Africa joined forces with local business to improve the facilities of Bosele Dawn Drop In Centre outside Bela Bela, by painting and renovating the facilities.
Says SOA Human Resources Manager, Ms Khatija Mahomed, “it was a thrill to be back at the Centre, and to lend a hand to improve this important facility in the local township.” Apart from lending a helping hand, SOA also offered a hearty soup to the local community.
South of Africa also attended a second event on the day at a settlement outside Modimolle, where soup was offered to the needy and all who visited. “We love giving back to the community,” says Mahomed, “and to celebrate this special day in honour of Nelson Mandela is a duty we feel strongly about. We will continue to spread his message of good will.”
