Facilitated by Yoga Teachers Rosalind Langer and Karen Venter, the 2 night getaway is an enticing programme of early morning and late afternoon yoga sessions at a nearby venue with wonderful sea views, and is inclusive of breakfast. Guests are given the choice of booking an all-inclusive luxury package at the 5-star boutique hotel Abalone House & Spa, or a self-catering stay at select family-friendly cottages. These units form part of the Paternoster Cottages portfolio managed by Abalone House & Spa.

The Yoga classes are presented at the Oppidraai B cottage and consist of 2 morning Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga classes (inclusive of pranayama techniques) and 2 evening Restorative Yoga classes (both concluded with a Guided Relaxation). The classes are held on Friday evening, Saturday morning and evening, and Sunday morning.

The Paternoster Cottages are proud to offer select accommodation during the upcoming Yoga Retreat. Turn your Yoga Retreat into a family getaway and choose from 3 family-friendly options. Guests that wish to join the Yoga Retreat, which is inclusive of breakfast (early morning breakfast on site before the class and late-morning brunch at Abalone House & Spa after the class), pay only R1290 per person to participate. This rate is only applicable to guests that stay in the Paternoster Cottages.
These 2 sea-facing units each have 2 bedrooms, a private infinity pool and exquisite sea views of the Atlantic. Ideal for 2 couples or families with older children (the second bedroom is accessible from the pool-side patio), the Seaside Cottages are the perfect destination when bringing the family with.
Pay only R1500 per night per unit excluding the Yoga Retreat participation fee.
The cosy 1-bedroom cottage is perfect for a cultural Paternoster experience, and sleeps 2 guests.
Pay only R499 per night excluding the Yoga Retreat participation fee.
The 3-bedroom Oppidraai A is perfect for 3 couples or families with small children. Located right next to the Oppidraai B, where the Yoga classes are held, makes Oppidraai A the ideal choice for guests that wish to enjoy the comforts of home.

ABOUT THE YOGA TEACHERS
“Yoga gives me the space and clarity I need during challenging times. I try and move through these times as elegantly as possible, and yoga helps me do this!” Justine found yoga in the nineties and having been a dancer for 10 years she was already aware of the beauty of the mind, body connection, but had a yearning to take it to a deeper level. In the beginning she practiced yoga on and off for many years and every time she went back to it, it felt like home. Now, every day, Justine looks forward to her time on the mat. She did her teachers training with Jacqueline Ivory at Jai Yoga and is a qualified Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga teacher. Justine also has experience in teaching yoga nidra, pregnancy yoga and kid’s yoga. For her yoga is a never-ending journey, there is always more to learn, and she keeps inspired by attending workshops from yogis around the world. Her workshops have been with Sharon Gannon and David Life (Jivamukti), Michael Gannon, Patrick Creelman, Ana Forrest and many more. “The only way to inspire others to practice yoga, is to feel it yourself, and the only way that you can feel it, is to practice it. Yoga is 99% practice, 1% theory!”
Ros came to yoga whilst living on the island of Antigua. Yoga teachers were few and far between, and those that did come to the island, never stayed very long. She began practicing using a dvd: The Primary Series: John Scott. Since then Ros has practiced daily, reading about yoga with an intense hunger, and following her passion. Having been a high school English teacher for 20 years, the ‘teaching’ aspect came quite naturally to her. In 2012 she did a 7 day workshop with John Scott at Purple Valley in India, and later completed his Teacher Training in Cornwall in January 2013. “Yoga is my life. My mat is my home. Yoga has become entwined in the very nerve centre of my being. It is my guard: it protects me, fulfils me and is my constant companion. I feel blessed to be able to share this love with others. My Yoga journey never ends. Each student has been a gift that has deepened my love and appreciation of Ashtanga Yoga. I have seen in my self and many others the transformative power of breath, movement and awareness”.
“Yoga has given me the skills to learn to de-stress and find more freedom in my body, my mind and my life” I found yoga in 2007 where it immediately had a profound effect on my life and I knew then that I had started on a lifelong journey of transformation. I developed a new found respect for my body, my mind and my health. Having been working in the corporate world for a few years, yoga couldn’t have come at a better time! Naturally the call to teach began knocking on my door and I finally took the plunge. I completed my teachers training with Jacqueline Ivory in 2011. In 2013 I travelled to Miami to study under Kino Macgregor and Tim Feldmann and will once again be travelling to study under their guidance in 2015. Being able to share what I have learnt brings me great joy.
