The luxurious boutique hotel in Paternoster, Abalone House & Spa, and the delightful garden paradise outside Bela Bela and Modimolle, Shangri-La Country Hotel & Spa, have again been awarded their respective star-grading from the TGCSA (Tourism Grading Council of South Africa) this past month.

Abalone House & Spa, a 5-star establishment just 90 minutes drive from Cape Town, has wowed guests these past 5 years with the indulging comfort rarely found on the West Coast.  Says manager Leigh Longden, “We’re proud to once again receive this prestigious honour and are elated that the TGCSA recognizes what we offer to the world.”

The 4-star Shangri-La Country Hotel & Spa, who first received its rating in December 2014, is also thrilled to be awarded their grading again this year, says manager Pieter Erasmus.  “We’ve not only improved the facilities but also added more activities for our guests to choose from, which makes Shangri-La a one-stop destination for holiday makers who visit the Waterberg.”

Congratulations to both these esteemed hotels.
