Local television show Tuine & Tossels featured the lush gardens of Shangri-La Country Hotel outside Modimolle in their 26 June 2013 broadcast. Presenter David Viljoen interviewed our beloved Magogo, Mrs Anndeline Jansen van Vuuren, mother of owner Johan Jansen van Vuuren.
The feature focussed on the beautiful setting of Shangri-La, and Viljoen’s conversation with Magogo (our employees’ nickname for Mrs Jansen van Vuuren) made special mention of the breath-taking green gardens despite it being winter. The interview also focussed on Magogo’s love for gardening and her involvement in the layout and planning of the gardens.
A special insert on this KykNet channel’s programme featured “Christmas in July” at Shangri-La, and a one night stay for 4 guests was given away as a viewers’ prize.
