Another “Going Green” project at Shangri-La
The unique owl boxes have been erected at both properties, who are located in bushveld rich surroundings. These “homes” are sure to attract new “tenants” very soon.
“With several bird watchers spotting owls at both properties,” says MD Johan Jansen van Vuuren, “we’ve thought it a good idea to not only provide additional housing to these birds, but also attract a larger number of owls to the properties.”
This move has proven to be a very “green” option for pest and rodent control, that is not only beneficial to the environment by saving on unnecessary chemicals exposed to the land, but it will also help keep these pests under control and restore an even greater population of owls to the surrounding areas.
