Our hearts go out to all of our tourism friends who have suffered because of the tragic floods in the Bela Bela and Modimolle area. South of Africa, who also has 4 establishments in the immediate area including the Shangri-La Country Hotel and Elephant Springs Hotel, wishes to express its condolences to all affected by this tragedy and extends a helping hand to those in need.
Like many tourist destinations in both Bela Bela and Modimolle, we were inundated with phone calls of concern by distressed holiday makers and friends. Thanks to the fantastic work of all concerned, access to Bela Bela was restored quickly. With the upcoming long weekend, our hotels wish to invite visitors who were planning on travelling to the beautiful Waterberg, to still come and experience this well known Bushveld town. Access to our hotels have not been affected and travellers can book with confidence that their long weekend holiday will be a memorable time.
